Martee's 125-gallon custom glass aquarium was built to fit into the space he designed in the cabinetry of his home office. The aquarium can be viewed from the office and from the home's living room. This reef aquarium uses the Seamless Sump® filter system with an additional protein skimmer. Lighting is provided by a Current LED strip light.
Martee had the aquarium drilled on one end so that he can hide the plumbing. The filter system is kept under the aquarium in a cabinet that he lined with a shower pan adapted to fit the space. A drain in the pan leads to a floor drain in the basement, so in the very unlikely event that the Seamless Sump® filter were to overflow, the water will be directed to the drain and not damage the cabinet or hardwood floors.
