Tom purchased a rimless 125-gallon aquarium with Ultra-clear glass to replace his old acrylic tank that was a challenge to keep clean.
Custom Aquariums is proud to provide Tom with a beautiful rimless glass 125-gallon aquarium. When it comes to choosing glass over acrylic, Custom Aquariums highly recommends choosing glass. The reason is because the disadvantages of using glass can be engineered around, whereas acrylic's fatal flaws cannot. Acrylic is often a popular option for manufacturers and hobbyists because it is both easy to fabricate and is light weight. Acrylic takes a relatively extreme investment in tooling, equipment, and engineering to be able to cut and manipulate heavy sheets of glass. This is the main reason most custom aquarium manufacturers use acrylic, not because of the benefits of the material itself lends to the final product. Many hobbyists and small manufacturers can create custom aquariums with very simple inexpensive equipment. However, the end product is not so durable, and the material is very expensive when compared to glass.
Many thanks to Tom for your business and thank you for choosing Custom Aquariums!
