Aquarium Sand Substrate

Our sand is a great choice for a variety of aquascapes. It is small enough to prevent detritus (organic matter) from penetrating deep into your aquarium floor. The natural colors also help make algae and detritus less noticeable. Our pre-packaged sizes come in a plastic pail which is easy to transport and put in your tank without spilling as compared to bagged sand. Sand does not come pre-washed and is of very high quality. This sand is the preferred choice of our expert aquarium technicians for many applications.

Roughly 1lb per gallon is generally recommended, however this can vary depending on your preference and the depth of your tank.
