Description

The Seamless Sump® Mini Reservoir Tub has all the features and benefits of the regular sized reservoir tub – the main difference being it isn’t quite as long. This allows you to fit a Single Sock Tub or Double Sock Tub, a Baffle Tub, and a Mini Reservoir Tub in a 48″ long by 18″ deep Majestic® stand. In a stand that small a regular reservoir tub would not quite fit. It comes standard with a recessed glass lid as well as pilot hole dimples for easy connection to the other filter tubs in the system. The mini reservoir tub can be drilled for refugium or evaporation use. Bulkheads and tubing sold separately to connect to any of our other tubs. This tub can be substituted into any of our filter or aquarium package specials that include a full size tub and we can refund the difference.

Using the Mini Reservoir Tub can also give you a little extra room in your stand for dosing systems, reactors, or other accessories.

Drilled for Reservoir / Refugium

If you choose to have the tub drilled as a reservoir or refugium, a 1/2″ bulkhead is placed 11.81″ from the bottom of the tub. This gives you a nice 16.6 gallon refugium for fish, coral, or plants. This is very common and recommended for saltwater aquariums.

Drilled for Evaporation

As an evaporation tub the 1/2″ bulkhead is placed 2.31″ from the bottom of the tub. This provides you with a little more than 10 gallons of evaporation before the water will fall below the recommended level for most standard pumps. This is a most common with freshwater aquariums.

If you have room in your stand it is ideal to have two reservoir tubs. One as an evaporation tub and one as a refugium.

The Seamless Sump® Advantage

Every Seamless Sump® tub is made out of a single molded piece of durable high density polyethylene (HDPE). Our filtration tubs are easy to clean and won’t leak or fail.

You can mix and match our tubs in different combinations to create the perfect filtration system for your aquarium’s needs. The number of combinations and possibilities are almost endless!
